KARIN PISARIKOVA EXHIBITION -BLACK SEA, BROWN PEARLS-

「新しい場所に移動するたびに、その場所にはすでに物語が存在している。それは私に対して隠されていて、事物や、壁や、人々の中に潜んでいる。私はその一部と化すだけである。」

カリン・ピサリコヴァの関心は芸術と人生の境界をあいまいにし、人々との、また彼等が 行っているさまざまな 日常の儀式との関係を保ち続けることにある。彼女はアートの世界から逃れ，現実の世界へ到達することをめざしている。名前のない廃棄された物体、人々が 日々行う身振り、自分自身の日常的所作などを収集し、人類学的見地から分析することにより、異なった文化や社会構造間の差異が浮かび上がってくる。
“Black sea, brown pearls（黒い海、茶の真珠）” は “first time Japan – first Japanese impression（初めての日本－日本の最初の印象）”に基ずくプロジェクトである。それは異国の言語が全くわからず、いわば目も見えず耳も聞こえな い、というような状況で、それ以外の感覚がいかに研ぎ澄まされるか、というテーマを扱っている。
初めて成田空港に降り立ったとき彼女をとらえたのは海の香りで、次には新たな住まいである吉祥寺に点在するヘアサロンの香りだったため、水と髪が彼女のプロジェクトの主柱となり、地元の人々の協力と参加もその重要な要素となった。
このプロジェクトの別の柱としては日本に住むチェコ人、チェコに住む日本人、日本に住む英国人、日本に住む日本人….といった人々のさまざまな異文化体験を蜘蛛の巣のように織り上げることだった。

カリン・ピサリコヴァ（1982年ブルノ市出身）はチェコ共和国、ブルノ大学ボディーデザイン科を卒業し、現在同大学芸術学部の博士課程に在籍中。写 真、ビデオ、パフォーマンス、観客参加型アートなどを中心に活動している。作品はTanecni revue, Atelier, Art & Antiques等の雑誌に紹介される。Fleda music club, チェコデザインセンター、Skolka 28ギャラリーでのパフォーマンスフェスティバル、エジンバラ演劇祭、マルチプレース国際フェスティバルでパフォーマンスを行う。
マサリク大学、Umakartギャラリーにて個展。プラハデザインセンター、プラハUMPRUMギャラリーにてグループ展。イタリア（ミラノ、トリノ）、スロヴェニア（リュブリアナ）、ドイツ（カッセル）で奨学金を得る。

“Every time I move somewhere I come to a place that already has a story. It is only hidden to me – in things, walls, people. I just become part of it.”

Karin Pisarikova is an artist interested in the blurring between art and life. Her interest lies in sustaining the relationship with people and their everyday rituals. Her aim is to get away from the art world to reach the real world. She collects and analyzes a number of anonymous discarded objects, people’s daily gestures and her own intimate actions with an anthropological approach. Through this, one is able to find the difference among cultures and structures of society.
“Black sea, brown pearls” is a project based on “first time Japan – first Japanese impression”: on how one, when virtually deaf and blind to the language, sharpens the other senses. First came the smell of the sea in Narita, and then the smell of hairdresser shops in Kichijoji – her new home, so water and hair became the main pillar of her project, along with the collaboration and participation of the local community. The other part is creating a spider’s web of intercultural experiences of Czechs in Japan, Japanese in the Czech Republic, English in Japan, Japanese in Japan…

Karin Pisarikova (born 1982 in Brno) graduated from Body Design in Brno, Czech Republic, and is currently in the doctoral programme at its Faculty of Fine Arts. She is mainly working with mediums such as photography, video, performance and active participation of the spectator. Her work was featured in magazines such as Tanecni revue, Atelier and Art & Antiques. She took part in performances in the Fleda music club, the Design centre of Czech Republic, the Festival Performance in the Skolska 28 Gallery, the Edinburgh Theatre Festival and the Multiplace International Festival. Her solo exhibitions were held in the Masaryk University and in the Umakart Gallery, and collective exhibitions include the Prague design centre and the Prague UMPRUM Gallery. She was awarded scholarships to Italy (Milan and Turin), Slovenia (Ljubljana), Germany (Kassel).
